Act Like You Know / Dub

London producer Will Dorey aka Skinshape and longtime collaborator Ben Bell return with 'Act Like You Know', the lead from their forthcoming Skinshape x Horus album. A reggae-rolled reinterpretation of Fat Larry's Band's 1982 original, the track features vocals by Andy Platts and sits alongside contributions from Modou Toure and Winston Reedy. The duo, co-founders of Horus in 2013 as a reissue label for rare 60s and 70s Jamaican music, now translate decades of shared sounddesk experience to fully analogue original productions, where inventive covers collide with a grand-slamming final take on the main theme from Ridley Scott's sci-fi smash Interstellar. Out the studio, Bell runs London's Lion Vibes Record Shop, while Skinshape continues to explore funk, psych, and soul textures on the label's analogue decks.
